THIRD DAY LIVE

Lubbock, TX: 11-17-11

Last night we were in Lubbock, Tx...a town famous for many things.  First of all, its a place so flat you can watch your dog run away for a week.  Secondly, Lubbock is home of two amazing universities, Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian University...either of which I will gladly talk more about if they will give me an honorary Doctorate.  Thirdly, Lubbock is also known for producing some of the greatest musical acts ever.  (Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings just to name a few)  So the pressure was on for the band.
However, any time we play a town with a great music legacy the band seems to kick it up a notch without problem and Lubbock was no exception.  The venue captured Third Day’s sound perfectly and, true to the rest of the tour, the band played around with the set list feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm.  So, over all, it was another great tour stop thanks to the great people of Texas.  As a side note, I just shot a tour of the band’s bus with my Iphone.  If you want to see it, just click on my facebook profile below and you’ll find the link to the video.

I became a fan when the first "Offerings" recording came out,but I had never seen the band live before till this last stop here in Lubbock. The guys played with stunning precision as can be heard in the audio, great setlist though I would have liked a few more "MOVE" numbers "Sound of Your Voice" especially. My wife and I really enjoyed the evening,Bob Smiley was hilarious and kept the crowd laughing as the crews switched sets around.Trevor Morgan won the crowd over, first with his humble spirit and then with his great songs he played.Tenth Avenue was awesome from start to finish.
Thank you Third day for a great evening, come back soon!

Last night was a wonderful night! I attended your show with my xhusband. We had been married 36 years and divorced for 2 years. Your music helped me through some tough times. We are now friends and that is a start. Thank you for your music but more so for your message in the music, I would not be here today if not for the encouragement I found through your music. My prayer is that God will Bless You and your family as you have blessed me and so many others!
