THIRD DAY LIVE

Wilkes-Barre, PA: 11-06-11

I got off the plane this morning and was met with some very familiar faces. Unfortunately it was the gate agents that had just let us board the plane. Our flight was canceled just before take off either because of maintenance, weather or the pilot thought he left the iron on at home. I never did get a solid answer to that but we had to deplane and I had to call the band to tell them that I would arrive a bit late once again.

However, I got rebooked and landed in Wilkes-Barre, PA (motto: Check out our dash!) in time to make it to the Meet and Greet.

If you’ve never been to a Third Day Meet and Greet you need to put it on your bucket list. The crowd writes down questions on note cards and then I read them off to the band. We get great theological questions such as “Which is better Spiderman or Batman?” (Let me save you some time, its Batman.) Its also a great time for the band to share from the heart and hang out with some of the best Third Day fans in the country... and tonight was no exception.

We were playing an arena tonight which gives the band plenty of room on stage to move around and they took full advantage of it. Every band member seemed to be really into the show. In fact, I’m going to type a sentence that I dont think has ever been typed before. Jason really rocked the Mandolin tonight! If you dont know what a Mandolin looks like, its a guitar that looks like it smoked as a child and had its growth stunted. But he took this tiny Fisher Price instrument and rocked out the entire crowd. Third Day continues to change up the set experimenting with the perfect set list. They also have a part where they take suggestions from the crowd. All you have to do is yell out a song! Every night they continue to ignore my request which is sad because I’d love to hear them sing “Jesus Freak”. Oh well, it was another great night on the road with the best band in the business!

Thanks for remembering us in the Northeast...drove 6 hours south from near Plattsburgh, NY to be at the Wilkes-Barre show (would have been about the same distance to Maine, Mass or NYC)...Brought the whole family from 6 to 49!!! Trevor Morgan, Tenth Avenue North and Third Day were all amazing...God Bless you all!! Come back and see us again real soon!!!

I took my mother along with me and we had an amazing time! You guys looked and sounded great! I stayed till the very end and i don't remember you playing Creed though, I love that song. Anyways, thanks for making my Sunday night enjoyable and one I'll never forget!
